Jerry Ackerman grew up in Clarksville, Iowa on a century farm. He attended Clarksville High School and later went on to Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. While attending Wartburg, Jerry was a member of the wrestling time and was a two time national qualifier. Jerry resides in the Marion area with his wife and their four children, who all graduated from or still attend Linn-Mar High School. He loves the southeast part of Iowa for all the wonderful people he gets to meet and the history those people have in their communities, especially the farm families. Jerry also loves the area because of all the small towns and great people who occcupy them. Since Jerry grew up in a small town, he appreciated every dollar he earn and spent it wisely. He enjoys being able to help people save money for a long period of times by installing RetroFoam insulation. RetroFoam insulation is one of the few things you can buy that actually pays you back!!!! The Cedar Rapids insulation branch has installed RetroFoam in many farm homes and Jerry believes those homes benefit the most from RetroFoam insulation because they are more exposed to elements more openly, as opposed to homes in town.
